Creative Arts (CA)

The Summer Art Workshop will allow students to explore and create several different art forms. Painting, sculpting, creative arts, and wood crafting, are just a few of the artistic mediums the students may explore. Each class will tackle a new form to familiarize the students with the essentials of the arts. 

This workshop is filled with fun and ideal for budding artists

Resume Building & Cover Letter (RCL)

Ace that job interview!

Are you looking for that first job and unsure of where to start? Want your resume to stand out? Join us for a class on how to create a resume for your next job and the future ones.

Here’s what is included:

· Staple terms: Learning what is most important to have on your resume, adding your experiences, skills, etc. 

· Cover Letters: How to design cover letters that will show your passion and interest for this job position 

· Definitions: Understand the difference between a cover letter and resume and how they work together to make the perfect job application.

Get Ahead with Summer Test Prep!
As students take on tougher classes and prepare for college, strong study skills are more important than ever. Our Summer Test Prep Workshop helps students build the tools they need to succeed — and shine on their exams!

Included:

• Master Study Skills: Learn time management, note-taking strategies, and how to create productive study habits.
• Boost      Reading & Listening Skills: Improve comprehension, outlining, and active listening, which are essential for any exam!
• Test-Ready      Preparation: Perfect for students tackling Honors, AP, BA, SAT, PSAT,      ACT, GED, and ASVAB exams.

Writing Skills -Elementary (WSE)

Write like there is no tomorrow!

Join us for a Writing Skills Class tailored for elementary students to enhance their writing skills and understand how to be excellent at writing and feel confident in their work! We turn their ideas into fun and exiting stories. 

Here’s what is included:

· Confidence is created: With the skills and practice, your student will feel confident when asked to write. 

· Building Foundational skills: With practice, students will be able to learn valuable and essential writing skills that will help them be excellent writers.

· Non-writers welcome: this class is designed for students who need just a little extra help with writing and encouragement.

Writing Skills Class for 8th grade and Higher

Enhance your writing for high school and beyond!

Are you looking for a class focused on preparing your long-term academic life to master the qualities of writing? Join us for a Writing Skills class tailored for 8th grade students and beyond!

Here’s what is included:

· Argumentative Writing: write strong arguments with valid claims to help you become a strong writer 

· Research and Citation: Learn how to conduct research to gather information to make papers credible.

· Construct Advanced Essays: Move beyond basic paragraphs and learn how to write longer and analytical essays.

How to write an Essay-Accelerated Course

Become a master writer today!

This summer, students can prepare for the next school year by brushing up on their writing skills and learning a couple more. Tailored for students in eight grade or above, this three-hour course will ensure they are prepared for success and feel confident the next time they need to write an essay!

You will learn:

· How to develop a thesis statement

· Correct vocabulary

· Learning MLA format

· How to write an intro and conclusion paragraph

· How to address writing prompts

Babysitting Basics & Certificate (BB)

Become the best babysitter you can be!

Are you looking to become an excellent babysitter? Want to know the steps to be prepared to babysit and gain the skills you need to be excellent on the job? Join us for a Babysitting Basics Class, a 3 hour course where you will be ensured a badge at the end of it to become the best babysitter you can be!

Here’s what is included:

· Understand the characteristics of a great babysitter: Be able to attain certain qualities that make you stand out as a babysitter

· Get to know how kids develop: You will get a basic understanding of the stages of development that will help you understand children more effectively.

· You will stand out: Great babysitters are always in demand and stand out to parents.

Conversational Spanish (CS)

This class is designed to help students learn and practice conversational Spanish. Our focus will be on developing practical speaking and listening skills for everyday interactions. 

Instead of delving deeply into grammatical rules and technical details, we will emphasize real-world conversation scenarios. This approach aims to build confidence in speaking Spanish and understanding spoken language in various social contexts, including work environments. 

We tailor the conversation around our students environment. 

Adults and independent children are welcome.

Money, Money, Money ($M)

Dollars and cents will really add up as your child learns the value of a dollar. We help them make sense of each coin. They will also learn the history of bartering/trading rocks or sheep for items they wanted. Not your typical money learning class. 

· Addition and subtraction with money

· Exploring equivalent values of bills and coins

· Money word problems

· Cost estimating

Multiplication Madness (MM)

Stop the multiplication struggle. If word problems feel confusing and solving for “X” feels impossible, we’re here to help. We teach strategies that make math click, turning confusion into confidence. Our tutoring focuses on foundational multiplication fluency. We teach the “why” behind the math, ensuring students can solve for the unknown factors and word problems with ease. 

We help students move past the frustration of multiplication. From mastering basic facts to tackling those tricky word problems, we provide the “aha” moments and strategies they need to feel like a math superstar. 

We utilize Multiplying Menace and focus on the following: 

· Multiplying Stick

· Word Problems using the cubes 

· Reading strategies, Patterns and tricks, visual and written 

· Undoing the Curse and Multiplication Games 

2nd grade+

The Art of Reading & Writing (ARW)

The Art of Reading and Writing combines reading and writing with art!  Every day starts off with a new story.  As a group, they break down the story into an outline, and then they create a new story. Students will learn phonics, digraphs, and how to compose focused, clear, and grammatically correct sentences through stories learned together. Every week will include an art project focusing on the story. 

1-4th graders who love art, and we teach them to love reading and writing too. 

Monday/Wednesday June 22nd – July 2nd, 10:00 AM
